OMG Oils is a locally-owned company specializing in oil-based perfumes and colognes, with kiosks in several different malls located in Metro Detroit, Flint, and Toledo. While their in-person sales thrived, their existing website presented challenges for online shoppers. It was difficult to navigate, with separate product listings for each bottle size of every scent, leading to a cluttered look and confusing user experience. OMG Oils wanted a website that was user-friendly, visually appealing, and reflective of their brand. They came to Detroit Website Design seeking a redesign to streamline the shopping process and improve navigation. OMG Oils’ overarching goal was to enhance the overall online experience to drive sales and better serve its customers.

Our Solution

Detroit Website Design partnered with OMG Oils to deliver a comprehensive website overhaul, complete with a fresh logo and cohesive rebranding. The new design focuses on creating an intuitive and visually engaging shopping experience that aligns with the company’s unique products and target audience.

We streamlined the product listings, consolidating each scent into a single listing with a dropdown menu for selecting bottle sizes. This eliminated the unnecessary clutter and simplified the shopping process. Additionally, products were categorized into easy-to-navigate sections such as “Men’s,” “Women’s,” and “Unisex,” allowing customers to find their desired items quickly.

We implemented SEO optimization throughout the site to increase sight visibility and drive more traffic to the site. This strategic effort significantly boosted their online presence, resulting in a remarkable 78% increase in online sales year-over-year. The revamped website has become a seamless extension of OMG Oils’ brand, attracting new customers and enhancing the shopping experience for loyal fans and new customers alike.
