Client's Needs

Cowboy Coffee Company is a regional coffee roaster based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Its principle business model since its founding in 1989 has been to supply wholesale coffee to restaurants, hotels, resorts, and supermarkets within a 100-mile radius of Jackson. Our client, Rob Ottaway, wanted to sell the coffee to patrons of these establishments who had enjoyed the coffee and contacted their offices about where to buy the coffee. It was at that point that the client realized they needed to build a website with a shopping cart.

Our Solution

Since E-commerce websites are a specialty of DetroitWebsiteDesign.com, proposing a shopping cart with the capacity to sell all of their coffee varieties in various sizes and weights was the solution. Detroit Website Design first set up a small Open Commerce cart back in 2008 and recently upgraded it to a responsive WooCommerce site in 2015. In the past 8 years, Cowboy Coffee has expanded and now operates a coffee bar and sandwich shop in the Jackson Town Square. With the opening of this store, the focus has shifted from wholesale to retail with special focus on the mobile version of the site to accommodate the hundreds-of-thousands of tourists who visit Jackson Hole, the Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone, and the National Elk Preserve. The site also exhibits the client’s awards from TripAdvisor.com, and the “Best Of Jackson” feature from the Jackson Hole news.
